The vibrant market town of Bridport is also only a short drive from this Melplash holiday apartment, where you can browse the fascinating market stalls selling everything from vegetables to antiques, or travel a little further to Dorset's scenic Jurassic Coast and sample some sea food at West Bay, the setting for TV's Broadchurch drama. This comfortable and well-presented West Dorset apartment makes a super holiday base at any time of the year.
Beaminster is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a lovely country town in West Dorset. There are over 200 Grade II listed buildings within the Conservation Area of the town's square and Beaminster also offers various restaurants, inns and shops and there is also a music and arts festival held every summer.

Sitting on the floor to ease the back pain I left a note for the owner saying we would come every year health permitting if she addresses the issue she is a lovely lady I even baked her some scones John

While it was very clean we found the sofas uncomfortable and the bed rather small, feeling narrower than a standard double bed. There is poor, if any phone signal in the area (not the fault of the owner!) but the lack of an internet connection was very inconvenient, calling for a visit into Bridport each day to find email access. There were absolutely no leaflets on any local attractions to visit, the first holiday cottage I have ever visited that lack such a facility which, together with no internet access made finding what to visit or see locally very difficult. There were no instructions on how to leave the premises with regard linen, rubbish etc, so we left it as we found it. We cut our holiday short coming home on Wednesday. We would not visit Little Bella again.
