Inside, the warm and welcoming saloon transforms effortlessly from a cosy seating area into a comfortable double bed, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. On cooler evenings, the beautifully restored French monopole coal stove glows gently, complemented by a wall heater to keep things snug whatever the season. A thoughtfully equipped kitchen provides everything you need with a microwave/grill oven, 2 ring induction hob, sink and fridge. There is a bathroom with W/C and electric shower ensuring your stay is as comfortable as it is unique.
Step outside and you’ll find your own enclosed garden, a peaceful haven overlooking open meadow fields rolling towards distant hills. As the sun begins to set, the sky often puts on a spectacular show, best enjoyed from the charming Roadman’s Van, where you can sit with a drink and soak in the stillness.
Beyond your tranquil retreat, the surrounding area offers endless opportunities for adventure and discovery. Just eight miles away lies the iconic Jurassic Coast, with West Bay’s dramatic cliffs and a selection of beautiful beaches within easy reach. Spend your days fossil hunting in Charmouth, wandering the timeless streets of Lyme Regis, or relaxing on the shores of Burton Bradstock. For walkers, the Southwest Coastal Path offers breathtaking views, while quieter inland trails weave through idyllic countryside. Nearby Bridport buzzes with character, known for its antique shops and lively twice-weekly market, while attractions like Mapperton House and Abbotsbury’s gardens, farm and swannery make for memorable days out.
