Within the village you will also find the Charmouth Coast Heritage Centre where you can wander through a variety of fossil displays and local exhibits, as well as a good selection of pubs, restaurants, and takeaways, including The Royal Oak Inn, The George and The Bank House Café. Keen walkers and cyclists will delight at the close proximity of the South West Coast Path, where you can expect to see some of the best sights and scenery in the region. Next stop is Lyme Regis, home to its own beautiful beach, as well as the Lyme Regis Museum, Dinosaurland Fossil Museum, the Langmoor and Lister Gardens, the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium. From the harbour the keen anglers in your party can embark on a fishing trip, whilst others can set out on a sightseeing tour or rib rides. Continue onto Axminster, where you can delve into history at the Axminster Heritage Centre, make a splash at The Flamingo Pool or dine at The Lamb Inn. Further afield is Bridport, where you can easily access the stunning Jurassic Coast cliff tops for exceptional walks, Bridport Beach Front for more seaside fun, the excellent Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club and the Bridport Museum. One of the most beautiful beaches in the world is found at Charmouth, which is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is famous for its fossils. With stunning views of the coast and countryside, the South West Coastal Path is a must-do. Golden Cap, Langdon Hill, and Stonebarrow Hill are all great places to go for a walk. The cobb wall around the harbour in Lyme Regis is breathtaking, as is the scenery.
