Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated comments about cobwebs and a musty smell. The majority did not raise cleanliness as an issue, suggesting a generally high standard.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to local amenities, and as a base for exploring the surrounding areas of Dorset and Devon. The scenic grounds and nearby tourist sites contribute to its favourable location score.

Guests describe the cottage as comfortable, well-furnished, and cosy, with a warm welcome from the owners. Some mention low ceilings and beams as points to be mindful of, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

While the cottage is generally well-equipped, there are mixed reviews about the facilities and maintenance. Positive remarks about the kitchen and welcome gifts contrast with suggestions for better lighting and the presence of trip hazards in the garden. Due to the varied feedback, a definitive score cannot be provided.

However the place suffered from old fashioned heating that worked only when it wanted . There were too many cobwebs and spiders which I felt could of been cleaned up before we arrived. If you can see past these things then it is a comfortable stay at the cheaper price I paid . I wouldn't pay top rates for this cottage. I have to be honest even though I hate it because has I mentioned, the owners are lovely people who will do what they can for your stay.

Great location whilst visiting West Dorset, Somerset & Devon with our labrador. Lovely welcome from the owners and a comfy stay. Would definitely stay again.

Good : owners friendly , outside areas . large tv .toiletries,wine,milk. no dog smells ! Suggestions: need more plates/mugs/bowls to be able to use dishwasher as if we had stacked the dishwasher we wouldn't have any to use. some more smaller oven trays would be useful as well as a pizza tray / rolling pin . Some New bedlinen & towels would be of benefit. Settee covers could do with a wash ! Obviously damp issues on walls as patches show through the paint & we could smell it when we open the kitchen cupboards below the cooker. . The storage heaters were old & rusty in places. We didn't need to use them ! I think if a bit more money was spent on these issues it would be a good rental to return to.
