The accommodation was perfect for the 8 of us and the dogs and the owners had kindly put up some decorations to make it festive. The walls are beautifully thick which meant lots of really good nights’ sleep after cosy evening with lots of wine and board games. Beaminster itself is a beautiful village and the parking was easy to sort offsite.

Beaminster had local shops etc which was very useful. The cottage had everything we could need and was like a home from home! Would definitely recommend to anyone and even though there is only one car parking space we never had any issues finding another in the parking area at the square (we traveled in 2 vehicles). We will probably book again next year as there is so many places we still want to explore.

Small parking space, but very cheap (£4/day) parking in Yarn Barton car park less than a minute from the front door. Well appointed kitchen, stocked with everything you’d need to eat all together (although with what’s on offer to eat out in town why would you!). And very pleasant to find washing up liquid/kitchen spray/dishwasher tabs already in the cupboard instead of having to buy new packs. Washing machine/ speedy tumble dryer/ clothes horse all readily available. Our only complaint would be that the ironing board cover was ripped, but it did mean I could justify having crinkly clothes!
