With a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance and the dramatic Jurassic Coast just 7 miles away, this is the perfect choice for family getaways. After a long day on the beach or in the beautiful surrounding countryside, return to this cosy cottage for a peaceful evening in front of the roaring wood burner or an al fresco meal on the patio.
An inviting and homely lounge/diner welcomes you into this charming home. With a delightful window seat for enjoying a morning cup of coffee, an impressive fireplace with a wood burner, a Smart TV with complimentary Netflix account and a Hi-Fi, this room has everything you could need for relaxing with family both day and night. A charming cottage kitchen, adjacent, opens onto the garden where steps lead up to a raised patio for enjoying summer meals. A ground-floor office is a useful private space for anyone wishing to work while away and the two king-size bedrooms and bathrooms are reached via steep stairs with a rope handrail. There is parking on the village lane.
The picturesque town of Beaminster is known for its historic buildings, independent shops and cafes and the spectacular rolling countryside that surrounds it. Perfect for keen walkers, there are plenty of circular walks leading from the town to Pilsden Pen (5.5 miles), the Wessex Ridgeway and Lamberts Castle Hill (8.5 miles). Leaving your walking boots behind, an 8-mile drive will bring you to the popular coastal resort of West Bay, from which the spectacular 18-mile-long Chesil Beach runs all the way to the Isle of Portland (29 miles) in the east.
