About this property

Located in the mid-Dorset village of Fifehead St Quintin and surrounded by glorious countryside, Lower Fifehead Farm is a beautiful Grade II listed property with generous and flexible accommodation for up to ten guests.

Lower Fifehead Farm nestles in the picturesque hamlet of Fifehead St Quintin, and is surrounded by 400 acres of beautiful rolling countryside. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty dotted with numerous pretty villages, and close to the majestic Bulbarrow Hill which is the second highest point in Dorset, the location is ideal for walking, cycling and exploring. The generous and characterful 17th century farmhouse has plenty of charm, with original mullion windows and their rope twist detailing being mentioned in Nikolaus Pevsner’s County Guide book, "The Buildings of England", which remains the definitive inventory of England's architectural heritage.

With an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove in the large sitting and dining room, a family snug and games room with second wood burning stove, and a spacious kitchen and breakfast room with island and Aga, there is plenty of space for all of the family to gather and share time together. On the ground floor there is also a useful cloakroom with laundry area, and double doors from the kitchen lead to the undercover porch area which has been set up for alfresco dining.

On the first floor are five comfortable bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room; and there is a family bathroom with roll top bath, and a separate family shower room. Outside, the house enjoys a walled front garden, and the large lawned rear garden also has a full-size tennis court with artificial surface making it suitable for playing tennis or football all year round.

Sturminster Newton is close by and the popular towns of Shaftesbury, Sherborne, Blandford and Dorchester are all within easy reach. With the Jurassic Coast less than 45 minutes drive away, Lower Fifehead Farm is the perfect choice for a family holiday and fun times together.

Additional Information:

A full size cot and high chair available on request.
