Bracken, constructed in 2020, is one of three unique, detached eco retreats on this beautiful site situated on a working farm. The property has been furnished to a high standard and enjoys the added bonus of a luxurious Scandinavian wood fired hot tub.
With a light and spacious, open-plan living space including a well-equipped and modern kitchen, cosy sitting area and dining space for all guests. Throughout the all-ground floor accommodation, enjoy the warmth of the eco-friendly under-floor heating provided by the ground source heat pump. For those chillier evenings, snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove. There are three inviting bedrooms, two with king-size beds, and a twin room. Each bedroom benefits from its own en-suite shower room, making this the ideal retreat for family and friends.
With the Wessex Ridgeway on your doorstep, walking opportunities are endless. If you feel inclined, wander into the village of Ansty via a quiet lane and across a bridleway, where you will find a charming farm shop, post office and good local pub. Ansty can be reached in around 15 minutes on foot, or just 3 minutes by car.
Bracken’s neighbours Fern (sleeping six guests) and Bramble (sleeping four guests) are also available to book, subject to availability. All three properties can be booked as a combination in Dorset Eco Retreats, subject to availability.

You will have use of your own private wood fired hot tub with initial logs provided. Please read full instructions on the operation and safety of the hot tub which can be found in the house folder. Please do not use detergents or toiletries in the hot tub. Please supervise children at all times around the hot tub when the cover is off and be aware that the firebox will be hot when lit and the water can also get very hot without supervision.
Please note arrival at this property is from 5pm onwards.

The property was spotless and very comfortable However they are lacking in kitchen items There are just six of everything So this meant we had to wash up after every meal instead of filling the dishwasher and turning it on only once in the day Only three tablets given There were no table mats no large bowls to hold fruit or mix anything No tea tray It would have been convenient to have some hanging pegs in the bedrooms without wardrobes perhaps also in the hall for outside coats No mugs for teeth cleaning in the bathroom and nowhere to place shampoo or body wash in the shower After mentioning that there would be toiletries in the bathroom there was only a small amount of body wash no shampoo Also on the Monday morning of our departure the water was extremely hot and hard to regulate After 15 yrs of using cottages and experience of working in the leisure industry we hope that this will be of help to the owners who have a lovely product Johan and Kathy Bolling
