From here, the sitting room, which has a toasty woodburning stove, is a great spot to while away the hours by the fire, while the nearby dining room offers somewhere to catch up on the day’s adventures with a glass of wine. Take advantage of the ample seating in the conservatory, perfect for when you want to admire the pretty garden from inside. Outside will really steal the show; the large, well-maintained garden is a lovely outdoor space with a lawn, a patio with furniture and lush plants, and it is perfect for chilling out in, whether that be a glass of wine, your morning coffee, or lawn games with the children, and you may even spot deer during your trip! Back inside, the bathroom has all the amenities you could ever need, with a bath, a shower over, and a towel rail that keeps your towels warm. Hatherleigh is a quaint town home to a number of attractions, including the War Horse Valley Country Farm Park and the Meeth Quarry Nature Reserve. Visitors can also enjoy a number of activities in the town, such as hiking, fishing, and horseback riding. Within easy reach is the town of Okehampton, with its charming castle, awe-inspiring viaduct, and ancient stone circle, there's plenty to see and do in this lovely town. If that's not enough, you can also enjoy stunning views from Higher Tor or go for a peaceful walk along the River Okement. Further afield, you can explore Darmoor National Park for a wealth of walking and cycling opportunities, or head to the coast for a day at the beach. Woodlands is an idyllic escape, any time of year.

Northlew, Devon, borders Dartmoor. It includes a lovely main square surrounded by historic buildings, some thatched, and a bar, community shop, and Post Office off the square. The community of cob and thatch houses located 5 miles west of Hatherleigh, Devon. Hatherleigh is in the Torridge Valley, seven miles from Dartmoor National Park, and a great central site for the coast-to-coast walk, which includes the Tarka Trail.
