Park off-road and be welcomed into a property with a homely sitting/dining space, an ideal spot for enjoying a romantic meal for two, before snuggling up in the sitting area to enjoy a movie marathon or to make the most of the books and games available. The kitchen is well stocked with a great variety of home-from-home amenities, allowing guests to cook up a storm. It was a granny annex so is very well appointed for all kitchenware and storage space in the bedroom. The owners Martin and Lynn were friendly and helpful with their own 2 dogs so they were so considerate about my dog Hettie. Great location in village on Dartmoor with plenty of National Trust places to visit and gorgeous walks. A particular favourite of mine just 5 mins drive away was Burrator Reservoir. Park in Quarry and go up over the top away from the road, Sublime views over moors and reservoir. Also a must for dogs is Lydford and Teign Gorges the latter near Castle Drogo which is also worth a visit.

Martin & Lynn are very friendly and helpful, perfect hosts! Cottage had everything we needed, and the hosts left us bread, butter, milk eggs and teabags, thank you! Had a good meal with family at The Rock and visited a couple of National Trust properties while we were there. Tavistock is a nice little town well worth a visit. All in all a very enjoyable few days.
