A kingsize bed with handmade organic mattress is neatly positioned within the living area, creating a seamless flow between relaxation and sleeping space. The kitchen area is well-equipped for preparing simple meals, while a dining spot allows you to sit together and plan the day ahead. As the evenings draw in, settle down and enjoy the warmth and ambience provided by the miniature everhot electric stove. Completing the interior is a contemporary shower room with a walk-in shower, hand carved basin, and WC. Outside, the setting truly comes into its own. Surrounded by woodland, the patio area provides a delightful spot for taking in the far-reaching views across Dartmoor National Park.

With forest or moorland walks directly from the door, the location is particularly appealing for those who enjoy being close to nature. Local amenities can be found at Postbridge (pub,shop) whilst Ashburton offers a much wider selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. Exploring Tavistock is a must, known for its historic pannier market and heritage buildings, or head to Princetown to visit the Dartmoor Prison Museum and experience the rugged beauty of the moor. Further afield, Plymouth offers maritime history at the Mayflower Museum and views from the Hoe.

The pretty village of Yelverton makes a perfect base for exploring Dartmoor with excellent walking and cycling routes in the area. The 21 mile-long cycling and walking route Drakes trail, runs through the village and links nearby Tavistock and Plymouth passing through wooded valleys and open moorland. It is also possible to hire bikes in the village. There are several eating places around Yelverton including The Drake Manor Inn and The Royal Oak which provide a warm welcome and superb locally sourced food. Nearby attractions include Buckland Abbey, The Garden House and Burrator Reservoir. The South Devon coast is within easy reach for day trips to Salcombe and the pretty riverside village of Newton Ferrers. The Naval port of Plymouth can also be easily reached, famous for its maritime heritage and the historic Barbican district its narrow, cobbled streets lined with a fine selection of restaurants and bars.
