Lavender Cottage sits at the heart of the delightful North Devon coastal village of Appledore, just a short stroll from its cobbled streets and bustling quayside.

The comfortable and extended property gives the holidaymaker an all-year round opportunity to explore and relax. The amazing sunny seating/dining area makes the most of the spectacular, changing views, and leads out through French doors to a decked area, a fantastic spot to enjoy a lazy breakfast whilst taking in the sight of passing boats, or relaxing in the evening warmth with a glass of something cool.

From the decked patio, step down across a small path into a pretty garden area with small lawn and seating, with more great views from which to plan your day, or relax and unwind after exploring.

Inside, the property has retained a cosy feel, with separate lounge providing comfortable seating. The fully equipped and roomy kitchen leads to an extended dining and seating area, that encourages socialising and taking full advantage of the views and changing tides.

The downstairs bathroom with bath and shower, is bright and equipped for either a long soak or quick refresh.

On the first floor you will find three bedrooms, a king-size, a twin and a single. The master and single benefit from beautiful open water views. Enjoy waking up to new days, and if the tides right; to boats bobbing, and the rowing gig traversing during one of their morning training sessions.

For little ones a travel cot and highchair have been provided.

After a day of sun or walking, return to the cosy interior or social outside space, take meals alfresco or amble down to the village to enjoy the many and varied friendly eateries, pubs, delis and restaurants to finish the day. Alternatively take the little seasonal ferry boat to Instow and walk on its wide sandy beach, or visit waterfront bars and restaurants. Only five minutes away by car is the wide, golden sandy beach of Westward Ho!, popular with surfers.

Bideford, Exmoor, Clovelly and Hartland Quay are close by, and the area is a must for water sports, horse riders, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen, whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the famous Tarka Trail which passes close by. Young and old will enjoy crabbing off the quay, plus golf and riding is available locally. For family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way adventure parks are close by and don’t miss the annual Appledore Book Festival.
