Situated within the grounds of a 16th century Manor House, this charming cottage is surrounded by 5.5 acres of grounds in a pocket of unspoilt rolling Devon countryside on the boarder with Cornwall.The nearby village of Bradworthy has shops, a pub and garage, perfect for stocking up for your stay and tucking into a hearty meal at the end of a long walk. The cottage is also close to both the North Devon and North Cornwall coasts and some of the UK's best surfing beaches at Sandymouth, Widemouth Bay, Bude and Westward Ho! Why not enjoy the spectacular South West Way coastal path and the amazing World Class geology around the Hartland Peninsula? Or the famous Tintagel castle, Boscastle, Port Isaac or even Padstow! The Tamar lakes are also close by where you can enjoy a range of activates including kayaking, fishing, sailing and cycling. Or spend a relaxing day a RHS garden Rosemoor. The cottage itself is nestled between the Manor House and 2 other cottages and inside the accommodation is traditionally decorated and is compact and cosy with an open plan layout downstairs. The kitchen area contains an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment and microwave and small dining table nearby. On chilly evenings, light the wood burner before curling up with a book or making the most of the TV/DVD. At the top of a beautiful cast iron spiral staircase is the double four poster bedroom. This romantic room features a decorative fireplace, exposed beams, pretty cottage windows and an en suite bathroom with shower over bath. Outside, there is a private patio garden with picnic bench and beautifully stocked beds. Guests also have access to the private sculpture garden, shared lawn, BBQ area and solar heated outdoor swimming pool, which is available from May to September. If you need to do laundry while away, there is a shared utility room with coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer, together with a communal freezer.
