We really enjoyed our week at this property. There was lots of room, great showers etc, lots of birds to feed / watch out of the windows, a nice local walk around the fishing lakes.

On first arriving at 'The brown house ' the property looked lovely. It was very quiet and secluded. The impression that the website gave with the photos is that the property had views of the lake which was definitely not the case.Unfortunately after the first initial impression we found several problems with cleanliness. There were dirty tissues under the double bed, several areas of cobwebs, the toilet had not been cleaned properly in the ensuite bathroom and there was rubbish and crumbs under the sofa cushions. We had to clean the oven door because grease had been left on it and it smoked when the oven got hot . Probably the biggest reason that we would not consider returning was the fact that the beds were very uncomfortable and all need new mattresses. None of us got much sleep due to the beds and we ended up coming home early because of it.

The Brown house was a really good find for the whole family to go fishing in the excellent well stocked lakes. The accommodation itself was well equipped, with everything you needed and spacious. The only thing was the mattresses were not that comfortable and there were a lot of cobwebs. We would go back though.
