Jasmine Lodge receives high praise for its peaceful, rural setting and well-equipped, cosy accommodation. Guests consistently highlight the cleanliness, comfort, and tranquil atmosphere, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The owner is frequently commended for excellent communication and helpfulness. While a few reviews mention minor maintenance issues and dated furnishings, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return and recommending the lodge to others.
Most guests found the lodge spotlessly clean and tidy, with only a couple of isolated comments about worn carpets and minor cleanliness issues in the bathroom. The majority of reviews praise the high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is widely celebrated for its tranquillity, beautiful rural views, and proximity to nature, with easy access to local attractions and walks. Some mention the remoteness and single-track lanes, but this is generally seen as a positive for those seeking peace and quiet.
Guests frequently describe the lodge as warm, cosy, and comfortable, with particular praise for the beds and living areas. A small number of guests found the beds too firm, but overall comfort is rated highly.
The lodge is well-equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay, including a well-stocked kitchen and good amenities. Some reviews note minor maintenance issues, such as patio rails and dated furnishings, but these do not detract significantly from the overall experience.
The owner is repeatedly praised for proactive and friendly communication, providing helpful information before and during stays. While some guests mention thoughtful touches and attention to detail, there is no mention of guaranteed gifts.

Jasmine Lodge was in an ideal, tranquil location and the perfect place to be with my family on my birthday. Yes, the lodge itself has seen some life, but everything was clean and in full working order. My youngest loved ticking off the birds who landed in the bushes outside and my eldest loved the wifi. My middle one took great delight in running around the ample space outside and exploring the lakes. For me and my husband, we appreciated the dishwasher and the location as a base for visiting numerous local attractions (my favourite was the gnome reserve). We had a more than adequate kitchen in which to cook up a storm (food is very important to us!) and even a wine rack in which to keep our various birthday beverages. The owner was very good at communicating and responded very well to a minor query we had. Overall, we found the lodge to be a home away from home and excellent value; an excellent way to spend a birthday!

Overall, we had a lovely stay here. The lodge was very comfortable and, the location was amazing. The only real feedback is that the furnishings are quite dated, and the carpeting throughout was worn and, smelly in the bathroom/toilet rooms. The kitchen definitely has everything you need only issue, because of this, there’s not much room for storage. The owner Peter was friendly and contacted us before and during the holiday to ensure everything was okay. The onsite housekeeper was again friendly and accommodating with our requests. We would definitely recommend this site to others.

Our stay in Jasmine Lodge was so relaxing; the instructions for arrival were easy to follow which made a good start. The lodge was lovely and warm, spotlessly clean and in a quiet location. We were blessed with sunshine and clear skies for most of the week so sitting out in the morning for breakfast listening to the multitude of birds singing and stargazing at night was just amazing.Plenty of walks for Buddy (our dog) right on the door step so he was in doggy heaven for the week. Not enough time to do everything we wanted in a week but packed in plenty of variety all within easy driving distance - seeing dramatic scenery at Harland Point, coastal path walks, wandered round quaint villages (Clovelly is just down the road) . Had to sample a Cornish Pasty in Bude of course and cream tea ! A few National Trust properties not too far away (we went to Arlington Court). After all the walking it was good to be able to have a soak in the bath, read a book in peace and then a good night's sleep in a comfy bed.Definitely a good place to stay for us, reassuringly we knew if we needed anything the owner ( Peter) was a phone call away - he had already provided plenty of useful info for our stay. Our only regret was not finding this place sooner - excellent value for money.
