While some found the lodge cosy and comfortable, others noted issues with dampness and outdated furniture.
The lodge was reported to have a musty smell, which was later attributed to covered vents. Once addressed, the smell reduced, suggesting a moderate level of cleanliness.
The location is praised for its tranquillity and proximity to beaches, though the access roads are narrow and bumpy, which may challenge some drivers.
Mixed feedback on comfort, with some guests finding the lodge cosy while others reported uncomfortable furniture and a gloomy atmosphere in the bedrooms.

Amazing location, tranquil and very close to the lovely beaches that are only a maximum of 40 minutes drive away. The drive however is not for the feint hearted, the road leading to the site is exceptionally narrow and very rutted,we had a choice of a sporty mercedes but fortunately chose fortuitously to take the big SUV as the roads are very very bumpy. The downside of the big SUV as mentioned is the roads leading up to the turning for the site are very narrow and only for one car, if you are not a good and confident driver if you happen to meet another car there is some squeezing into the limited number of overtaking positions or a lot of reversing sometimes In to bushes. The lodge did smell musty but worked out on day three or four the vents were covered by leaves(obviously being in a forest) once moved this dropped to half.....the musty smell was only really in the evening, the heating made it worse. We can only speak if our cabin, did it spoilt it..no,would we stay again...yes but these are our observations. My wife and I are both in our forties and this is the first time we have heard an owl and saw a kingfisher in action!! Waking up to absolute peace and quiet was amazing.

The day before arrival there was no communication about check-in. On the day itself, I had to call, but the staff were very helpful and guided me through the proces. A small isue also came up during our stay, which was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the lodge we stayed in (Fishers Wood) was disappointing. The lodge felt damp and had an unpleasant smell. The furniture is very outdated the TVs looked about 15 years old, the armchair seemed broken and sank when you sat down, and the three-seater sofa had visible patched repairs. The bedrooms were dark even during daylight, which made the place feel gloomy. A smaller point, but worth mentioning: only one roll of toilet paper was provided. The listing did not mention that guests should bring their own, which was inconvenient. Overall, the lodge did not feel like good value for the price. It seems the owner has not invested in updating or renovating it, and it certainly did not feel cosy. There was also no garden o
