Modern, upside down house in a small culdesac, on a steepish hill. Parking on driveway. View of the sea in the distance from the kitchen. Good size lounge with plenty of seating. Open plan to bright kitchen. Bed mattress comfortable, but wood & metal bed frame far too large for mattress and the room, and lethal on the shins. No mattress or pillow protectors. No shower screen on upstairs bath to allow use of hand shower..Small south facing rear patio, with access via the downstairs rear bedroom. Would need a parasol in the summer. Cupboard under sink filthy. Carpets need a good clean. Badly fitted window in living room, very drafty. Liked access to heating controls - heating good.Property needs TLC.

What a lovely house! Great communication with the owner who was happy to help with any issues we had. Everything we needed in the kitchen, very well equipped. The beds were heavenly, very good quality mattresses, pillows and bedding. We would have loved to have been able to hoover and mop before we left as we took our dogs with us and couldn’t find anything to do this, got in touch with the owner, who very kindly told us not to worry as he was buying new equipment soon. The welcome pack was amazing, good base for exploring the vicinity.

Very spacious house in Northam Devon, 2 big double bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs with another double bedroom upstairs. The living area and kitchen are also located upstairs with another bathroom, we therefore used the upstairs bedroom for convenience. The house is a very short walk into the village where there are a couple of pubs, shops, cafes, and a chinese takeaway (cash only though). We walked to Westward Ho beach a couple of times which is approx 30 mins and also Appledore where there are more pubs and restaurants. The house is ideally located for travelling around North Devon, we made the most of it. The cul-de-sac is very quiet, the small back garden was perfect for letting our dog out at night before bed.First impressions were that the front door was full of old spiders webs, the surrounds needed weeding and the garden needed the grass cutting and tidying up. However, the inside was clean and had all the facilities we needed for our break.
