The river is spanned by an impressive stone bridge dating back to the 13th Century and is the focal point of the town. Set on a quiet residential road with a nearby pub, restaurant, cycle hire and repair garage, you also overlook the fabulous Tarka Trail which is a traffic free path stretching for 30 miles, perfect for picturesque walks and bike rides. Alternatively, you can enjoy the excellent surf beach at Westward Ho! which is a short drive away. Within walking distance of the cottage are two excellent pubs offering good food and the area's most popular hotel with an excellent restaurant open to non residents.
