The Tarka Trail, a 32 mile long traffic free cycling and walking trail, is just a short walk from the property, offering walks for all abilities. To the north of the property, the attractive harbour towns of Bideford and Appledore are popular with visitors thanks to their pretty cobbled streets lined with fishermen s cottages and independent shops. Both towns offer boat trips from their harbours, including a wonderful 2 hour trip from Bideford or Ilfracombe to Lundy, a ruggedly beautiful 3 mile long island, with ancient remains giving visitors a glimpse of the island s rich 4000 year history.
