History buffs will adore spending a day in Clovelly (10.5 miles), a beautiful fishing village that s steeped in maritime history. While you re there, check out the gardens at Clovelly Court and pay a visit to the Fisherman s Cottage and Kingsley Museum. Further afield, animal lovers will love spending some time at War Horse Valley Country Farm Park (21 miles), where you can meet alpacas, ponies and miniature donkeys as well as treat yourself to a Devonshire cream tea.
