Acorn Lodge in Bideford offers a tranquil woodland retreat with private lodges and scenic walks, complemented by an onsite fishing lake. Guests appreciate the peaceful environment and cleanliness, though some noted room for improvement in maintenance.
The lodges are generally found to be very clean, with one review specifically noting the property as 'very clean'. However, one mention of cobwebs suggests a slight deduction.
The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with woodland walks and a fishing lake adding to the appeal.
Comfort is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score based on the available information.
Facilities like heating, a hot tub, and a dishwasher are appreciated, but issues with the hot tub controls, TV, DVD, and Wi-Fi suggest that maintenance could be improved.
There is no mention of gifts or extra touches that would indicate thoughtfulness, so this score cannot be provided.

We stayed in Acorn which is in a quiet location at the end of the site, the lodges are down a long single track road so arrive in daylight! The lodge was well equipped, clean, comfortable and felt private.. It was lovely to enjoy the birdsong while sitting in the hob tub. We had a minor maintenance issue, which was resolved with an hour - Liz was really helpful and friendly, as was Pez who had loads of great recommendations and local knowledge - there’s also plenty of information in the lodge.
