… ½ mile from Tedburn St Mary and handy for the A30 (direct to Exeter and to Cornwall), a private drive leads to two stylish cottages newly converted from a 16th cent. long barn which once stabled heavy horses, next door to the owners’ farmhouse. Good-sized shared lawned garden (tables/chairs) and each cottage has its own patio (table/chairs). Inside, the original character has been carefully preserved with oak beams and sloping ceilings. The cottages have an interconnecting door (lockable), so work especially well when booked together. Comfortable cottages in a good central location.
The Furrow (arrow 1): Hall with space for boots/coats (and the interconnecting door). Large, light and bright, open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, freezer) with oak floor and beams, comfy leather sofas, woodburner, TV/DVD and French windows to the garden and patio. Stairs up to two bedrooms – the master double (5’ bed) with balustrade and en suite shower -room (suite), and a twin (2’6” beds, zip-linkable to 5’ double); bathroom (suite plus bath-shower).
