Resting in the small town of Bovey Tracey, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, is this semi-detached cottage, 7A Fore Street. This Scandinavian style cottage can sleep up to three guests, making 7A Fore Street a characterful base for your next adventure to Devon, within easy reach of the bustling city of Exeter and the seaside resort town of Torquay. You enter the property into a top quality, open-plan living/dining area with a gorgeous woodburning stove and plenty of sofa space to cuddle up in front of the TV after a long day, or gather round the neat dining table to toast to a wonderful holiday. Moving through the property there is a small yet well-equipped kitchen which has all you need for a successful self-catering holiday, so rustle up your favourite evening meal or pack a picnic and head out for the day. To finish the ground floor, there is a stylish single bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Going down the stairs there is a quirky rope bannister to the lower-ground floor, where there is a marvellous double bedroom with storage to make yourself feel at home, a large bathroom with the choice of an indulging bath or a fresh shower, and a utility room with laundry facilities. Outside there is decked area with furniture so you can enjoy a glass of wine under the stars. Bovey Tracey is a stunning town nestled on the River Bovey and is a foodie town of sorts, with a regular farmers market to visit as well as delis selling locally sourced produce and drinks, adding the perfect ingredients to your self-catered cooking. Pick up a special souvenir to remember your holiday when browsing the shops and stalls in the Riverside Mill, run by the Devon Guild of Craftsmen, it showcases the work of local artists and crafts people. The town also offers a selection of shops, pubs, takeaways and cafés along with the stunning Mill Marsh Park and the Dartmoor Whisky Distillery which offers popular guided tours. Known as "The Gateway to the Moor", the town is situated just outside the Dartmoor National Park which provides seemingly endless walking and cycling paths along with incredible scenery, as well as the stunning Becky Falls which is one of Devon's top beauty spots with its animal shows, waterfall, gift shop and café. Visit the ancient and historic market town of Totnes, around a 30-minute drive away, where you can find a diverse range of small and independent retailers, an Elizabethan market every Tuesday morning complete with traders in traditional Elizabethan costumes, and an array of eateries and restaurants focused around organic and local produce. Spend time exploring the South Hams coastline, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline found in the UK spanning from Torbay to Plymouth, home to the likes of Blue-Flag award-winning Blackpool Sands, Slapton Sands and the popular Paignton Beach, amongst many more secluded coves and bays to explore. Closer to home is the National Trust’s Parke house and grounds providing a lovely spot for local strolls and host to a Parkrun every Saturday, while Bovey is also a big cycling hub with its own dedicated and contemporary café called Café 360, the perfect spot to finish a scenic cycle ride.
