About this property

Yes it’s cool – very cool, but this wonderful retreat doesn’t simply look good, it’s functional, spacious, comfy and extremely well-equipped too. Pair all of this with an idyllic setting in the beautiful South Devon countryside and you really do have somewhere rather special to call home for a few days (or weeks for that matter!).

You’ll love whiling the hours away both inside your cabin and out, with wide nature-drenched views on display in every direction. Laze in the living room, nap on your king-sized bed, or fire up the pizza oven and chill out with a glass of wine under the eaves while your Margheritas crisp up. Your entertainment areas are all-weather too so even on wetter days you can soak under-cover in the wood-fired hot tub or hang out on custom-built bench seats with a music, a game of backgammon or a good book.

The Airstream hides itself away on a working farm just outside of Exeter so if you do fancy dipping into city life you’re just 10 minutes’ drive from its restaurants, bars, museums and shopping. Our recommendation for a slightly more laid-back dining experience though is the 13th Century Ley Arms (a five-minute walk away) which offers delicious classics in a proper countryside pub atmosphere.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, Dartmoor with its rugged landscape, tors and reservoirs is within easy reach, while Haldon Forest (which is only 3 miles away) has bikes for hire, so if you don’t feel like lugging your wheels along on holiday you can explore all 12km of wooded cycle paths pretty much hassle-free. Although found in a lovely and very rural location, Devon Hideaways is within a 15-minute drive of the coast at Dawlish Warren or Teignmouth, and also within striking distance of all the glories of the South Hams where its stunning sandy beaches, tree-lined rivers, and of course towns like Totnes and Dartmouth lie just waiting to be explored.

There’s an outside kitchen with Ooni pizza oven, charcoal firepit which doubles as a BBQ, utensils and a pizza paddle, worktops and Belfast ceramic sink

Built-in bench seating with cushions creates the perfect spot for unwinding with a view

A rustic table and log seating means you can eat your meals in the sunshine, and a small bistro table with chairs is just the spot for sundowners and a glass of your favourite fizz

A separate deck with pergola and festoon lighting is where the Hikki Swedish wood-fired hot tub can be found

Please park inside the gate on the right, and ensure you keep the gate closed at all times as there may be livestock in the field.
