A nice looking site that is clearly being invested in. The indoor swimming pool complex is good, however the pool would benefit from being larger to enable some 'proper' swimming too. The flumes are fun and the red/green light system combined with the video image to let you know when to 'go' is brilliant. We did the sea scooters activity which was great fun. There were a few bits of rubbish around the site near our accommodation which were there for the duration of the stay, which detracted from its feel. Our accommodation was poor - clearly part of the original site and lacking in investment; given what we paid for a 4-night break I expected much better. We stayed in a 2 storey lodge with hot tub and sauna. The sauna was great but the lodge was in a poor condition - it looked clean when we arrived but we subseqently found a previous visitor's biscuit in the bread bin and there were cobwebs in 2 of the bedrooms. One 'leather effect' chair was visibly very worn and looked tatty, and the beds were appalling - one collapsed (it had clearly been repaired before) and the others were not comfy (could feel the springs in the mattress on the double bed). It also lacked shelf or drawer storage in the bedrooms for clothing. I had to re-hang one pair of bedroom curtains as the hooks weren't in the header tape correctly! The hot tub was great and really warm, however the lid was falling apart and there was not much room around it making taking the lid off a challenge. The outdoor furniture on the balconies was awful - not matching and the metal on the chairs & table was corroding, plus the wooden chairs were very weathered & tatty. Haufryn are clearly investing in the new accommodation but the older lodge that we stayed in needs a complete refurbishment. We didn't use the restaurant on site but the menu looked varied.
