Located on the Southern edge of Dartmoor, England is the charming village of South Brent. This village is packed with history which dates back to the Bronze Age meaning that many hut circles, enclosures and barrows are found on the high moorlands. On Brent Hill, ruins of an ancient building and windmill remain, thought to date back to around 1790. The village is within the boundaries of Dartmoor National Park, with several shops and pubs in the village centre. Very welcoming owners who happily gave local advice and provided home made cakes for our arrival. Lovely peaceful wildlife garden to sit in on sunny sunny days. Everything you need for a relaxing break.

The cottage is very well equipped with everything needed..the full size fridge was great as many just have a mini one. A folder with walks and a small Dartmoor reading corner was useful. The shower is one of the best I've come across in a holiday cottage...absolute bliss. Sally and Anthony were very friendly...thanks to Sally for the recommended walks and the lovely welcome brownies.
