Arranged over two floors, this cottage is luxuriously furnished with the first floor living area’s oriel window overlooking the pretty gardens and lake. The large open plan lounge features a Morso wood-burning stove set on a slate hearth, with a pair of large Sofa Workshop sofas and Lloyd Loom chair creating the ideal space to enjoy a morning coffee or catch up a favourite book. A fully equipped kitchen complete with granite work surfaces and a range of small and large appliances makes home cooking a breeze; with the open plan dining area the perfect place to share and enjoy meals together. Steps from kitchen lead to a private sheltered terrace, and the larger main terrace with barbecue and seating to the front of the property is the ideal place for guests to enjoy outdoor entertaining.

Twysden Cottage has three spacious bedrooms comprising a large master bedroom with king sized divan bed, a double room with twin beds that can be pushed together, and a bunk bedroom that’s suitable only for children.

Centrally heated throughout and with many thoughtful extras added, including a high-chair, travel cot, built in stair-gate, baby/child crockery & cutlery, miniature chair, two hairdryers, games and books, means guests can expect to completely relax and unwind during their time at West Charleton Grange. There are many amazing on-site facilities for guests to enjoy including an indoor heated swimming pool (approximately 10 x 5 metres), The Folly private venue, an indoor games room and a fantastic children’s play area including half an acre of grass playing field, a climbing frame, swings, baby swing, slide and trampoline.

The 10 acres of landscaped grounds are set in a private valley with dry stone walls and terracing enhanced with extensive planting. Sheltered paved terraces with a large outdoor sofa are fantastic for relaxing, and a gas BBQ on the main terrace is perfect for alfresco dining and suitable to cook for up to 12 people at one time. In summer months there’s a wood fired pizza oven in the Victorian walled garden with a tepee tent close by for a great space to keep the children entertained.
