Pypard Cottage is a beautiful stone cottage at West Charlton Grange with commanding views over the valley and landscaped gardens. Inside the open plan living area is tastefully furnished and has a vaulted ceiling and a woodturning stove on a slate hearth. The living area is great place to relax after exploring the best that the South Hams to offer and the child’s rocking horse is always a hit with the little ones.

For the chefs in the group the kitchen has everything you need to whip up and culinary masterpiece and with the open plan dining area nearby it’s a great place to socialise and reconnect with your nearest and dearest.

Further afield there are plenty of great options for families and groups alike with a range of eateries and pubs within a short drive of the cottage. The estuary and sea are never far away and with the beaches and coast path on your doorstep and adventure is never far away.

Guests at West Charleton Grange can look forward to many amazing on-site facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool (approximately 10 x 5 metres), The Folly private venue, an indoor games room and a fantastic children’s play area including half an acre of grass playing field, a climbing frame, swings, baby swing, slide and trampoline. The 10 acres of landscaped grounds are set in a private valley with dry stone walls and terracing enhanced with extensive planting. Sheltered paved terraces with a large outdoor sofa are fantastic for relaxing, and a gas BBQ on the main terrace is perfect for alfresco dining and suitable to cook for up to 12 people at one time. In Summer months there’s a wood fired pizza oven in the Victorian walled garden with a tepee tent close by for a great space to keep the children entertained
