Solstice is a charming, attractive cottage dating back to the 1800s which is tucked away within the centre of the delightful South Hams village of Blackawton in South Devon. Much of the area surrounding the village is part of South Devon's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty depicting rolling countryside, rugged cliffs, shingle beaches and sandy coves. Blackawton is a delightful, unspoilt village which has a genuine community ambience and is also home to two locally renowned pubs and a well stocked community shop. The nearest beach at Strete Gate is only 5 miles away, the popular maritime town of Dartmouth and the famous stretch of coast between Slapton and Torcross are 6 miles away, and Woodlands Adventure Park which is a family favourite is only a mile away.

Solstice has been sympathetically restored whilst retaining character features such as an inglenook fireplace with wood stove, beamed ceilings and slate floors; and yet it provides amenities to meet and exceed modern day expectations to include a well equipped kitchen with range oven, two bathrooms and a lovely sunny garden. Solstice won't fail to delight in offering homely and comfortable accommodation for both couples and families alike.

Archway into spacious kitchen dining room. Dining area with table to comfortably accommodate 4. A traditionally designed modern kitchen boasts an electric range oven with two ovens, separate grill and 5 hob plates, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and is equipped with beautiful vintage crockery. Back door opens onto rear patio and garden beyond. Stairs from hallway lead to first floor landing: Double bedroom with 4ft 6inch bed, built in wardrobe, wall mounted TV and pleasant views towards village church. Twin bedroom, L shaped room with two 3ft single beds, open hanging, dressing table and views over rear garden. Petit shower room with large shower enclosure, hand basin and WC. Stairs to second floor: Modern bathroom with bath with shower over, heated towel rail, hand basin and WC.

Outside:

Paved patio with table and chairs accessed from the kitchen  - a perfect sunny position for breakfast. A small number of shallow steps lead up to an enclosed grassed garden which receives the sun all day and is planted with mature shrubs plus it has a wooden bench and a summer garden cabin. Rear access to neighbouring cottage.

Parking:  On road parking possible opposite the cottage.
