The Farmhouse is highly praised for its peaceful location, ample space, and welcoming hosts. Guests enjoy the snooker room, wildlife, and homemade cake on arrival. While some mention minor maintenance issues and the need for a car due to its remoteness, the property's charm and tranquillity make it a favourite for family gatherings and relaxing getaways.
Most guests found The Farmhouse clean and well-kept, with only a few mentioning issues with dog hair and cleanliness of kitchenware. The property generally maintains good standards of hygiene.
The property's secluded and peaceful setting is highly appreciated by guests seeking tranquillity. Its proximity to attractions like Exmoor Zoo adds to its appeal, although the remote location requires a car for convenience.
Guests find the farmhouse spacious and comfortable, with sufficient bedrooms and a warm atmosphere. Some concerns about water heating and steps around the property are noted, but overall comfort is rated highly.
The snooker room is a highlight, contributing to the property's appeal. However, some guests report issues with the dishwasher, bathroom locks, and a lack of kitchen essentials, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of a welcoming homemade cake and tea/coffee supplies. While such gestures are warmly received, it's noted that these are not guaranteed for every stay.
Offering spacious accommodation and sharing landscaped grounds, The Farm House also has its own games room with snooker table..

Access is by foot or by 4x4 vehicle as they are both located along farm tracks unsuitable for cars.

Withypool and the ancient Tarr Steps are both highlights on the moor. Climb to Exmoor’s highest point at Dunkery Beacon, then pop into the Dulverton for an afternoon cream tea. In Lynton and Lynmouth there is plenty to see and do, with the two towns being connected by the funicular cliff railway, or visit the Valley of the Rocks, with access to the Southwest Coast Path.
Head up to Woolacombe, Putborough, Croyde and Saunton for a seaside adventure, offering some of the best beaches in the country with surfing and rock pooling. Excellent property and great space for our family of eight with a plus being the snooker room, if you are looking for a peaceful quiet location you can not beat this and would definitely recommend plus look to return.

This is the best place we have stayed in, lovely and clean and lots of space for a family group. Snooker table was a great addition. Lovely little shop just down the road next to the pub. Far enough away from normal shops to feel totally secluded but still close enough for it not to be a chore to get food from a supermarket. Hosts were fab and the cake on arrival was enjoyed by all 😊For days out Exmoor zoo was the highlight for us, 20 minutes away and sooo much to see

We would definitely stay again, however there were steps in and out of most of the rooms upstairs and ground floor. Elderly and small children may struggle.
