When you’ve eaten, head over to the lounge area, where you can gather around the Smart TV and wood burner to enjoy a quiet evening in. The two bedrooms, a double and a twin, are both on the ground floor, one step up from the hallway and sharing a family bathroom. Their quirky architecture includes striking arched windows and a step in the middle of the double room. Outside, your enclosed garden has a lawn which is a great place for youngsters to let off steam while adults breathe in the fresh Devon air and enjoy the rural scenery.
On the edge of Exmoor National Park and set within a 300-acre working sheep farm, the holiday escape is a great base for getting out and about in nature, whether you want to walk, cycle, ride, fish, rock climb or try some water sports. Enjoy a cream tea in one of the pretty villages (don’t forget the Devon way is cream first, then jam!) or head for one of the local pubs. Visit the markets in South Molton, 4 miles, or the shops in Barnstaple, 14.5 miles, or spend the day on the beach at Saunton Sands, 23 miles, Westward Ho!, 24 miles, or Woolacombe, 30 miles.
