About this property

Treetops is a first floor detached property in Woody Bay, Devon. The whole of the front of the building is glass, flooding the interior with light, and the conversion has produced an extremely attractive Scandinavian feel with lots of pale wood, bright rugs, comfortable furniture and modern fittings to make it a wonderful place in which to escape. It is perfect for couples.

Sliding doors lead into a large living room with TV, a DVD player, WiFi (limited), iPod dock, and a dining area and fitted kitchen. It has a king-size bedroom overlooking the deck with a separate bathroom and can sleep two people in one bedroom.

It is reached by a flight of wooden steps leading up to a large, private decking area which overlooks a wooded hillside and the North Devon coast in the distance.

The property is close to a variety of places that offer outdoor activites such as riding, sea, lake and river fishing, golf and surfing. You can explore all of this at Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe, Croyde Bay and Combe Martin.

Despite being England’s smallest National Park, Exmoor has been named the most exquisite as it rises behind the rocky cliffs with its moors and streams. The historical market town of Barnstaple is a short drive away, as well as the seaside resort of Minehead.

We really enjoyed our stay in this unique property. Enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the squirrels playing. Wonderful location, great walks and perfect for two people. Really relaxing holiday.

The setting is stunning and situated right on the South Coast Path so there are wonderful walks in every direction. The cabin is comfortable and cosy and the prosecco, coffee, milk on arrival is a very nice touch. It does state "limited wifi" but it was pretty non existent which was absolutely fine with us and quite a nice detox from "electonics". Also we only really managed to get BBC on the TV and even that was hit and miss with reception but there is a good choice of dvds and books provided. We will 100% be going back!!

Treetops is lovely, comfortable, cosy and clean. The place is very relaxing and we really enjoyed watching the birds on the bird feeder; there were blue tits, great tits, robins and a great spotted woodpecker, amongst others. There was even a buzzard that regularly perched on a tree nearby. The location is fantastic with walks straight from the door. We walked East through Valley of Rocks to Lynmouth and Lynton and had an excellent lunch at The Rising Sun. Walking West took us to Heddon Valley where we passed a lovely waterfall on the way and had another lovely lunch at The Hunter's Inn. The weather made the coastal walks even more dramatic and the scenery was gorgeous. Jim, the property owner, is very warm and friendly. We will be back! The Wrights
