Newly converted for 2017 this spacious duplex apartment is one of a group of apartments converted from an original Gentleman's Residence that was until recently a Country House Hotel.  The Lynton Cottage has been welcoming visitors for over 100 years and its unique location and magnificent panoramic views have been inspiring all who visit including this apartments namesake.  C S Lewis the author of The Narnia Chronicles stayed at The Lynton Cottage in 1925 and was inspired to write "The view from the balcony was beyond everything I have seen - Straight ahead and across the gorge, the hillside rose hundreds of feet above us into a cap of well shaped rock. Behind that the Lyn valley opened out in long perspective of winding water and many coloured woods, heather and grass. To the left was the bay, not deeply blue but of a strangely pure clear colour and beyond it a line of surf between the water and the cliffs which fell away East and North." Its unique location perched on a cliff top overlooking Lynmouth Bay ensures that the most spectacular panoramic sea views can be enjoyed from this and all of the other apartments.  All the amenities of the delightful village of Lynton are just a few minutes' walk and a funicular railway running up the side of the cliff gives visitors access to the picturesque harbour, manor greens and a choice of cafes, restaurants and shops in Lynmouth. Access to the apartment is up the staircase to the first floor from the grand communal entrance.   A spacious lounge is at the front of the apartment to benefit from the wonderful sea views.  An original balcony leads off this room through large windows (access is a step over the window sill of approx. 16" (40cm) which may not allow this area to be accessible by all. A well designed and amply equipped kitchen is ideal if you wish to eat in with family and friends and make the most of these very special views. A Master bedroom with Super Kingsize bed and ensuite facilities allows you to wake up to the same wonderful sea views.  A family bathroom is also on this floor. A second spacious double bedroom is on the second floor at the rear and  offers hillside views. This location is ideal for walkers with wonderful coastal and country walks easily accessible but it is also a great base for exploring all of Exmoor and beyond.

Second bathroom with power shower, WC and basin. Second Floor: Bedroom 2 with Superking that can be covered to twin zip 'n' link on request, and hillside views.
