It lies just a short stroll from shops, restaurants, an indoor swimming pool and the famous Landmark Theatre arts and entertainment complex as well as the picturesque harbour showing Damien Hirst’s statue Verity. The unique Tunnels Beaches provide bathing areas with secluded beaches and pools, accessed through tunnels quarried beneath the cliffs, whilst the pretty cove of Hele Bay is a paradise of rock pools and sandy inlets for that perfect day out. Visitors can enjoy spectacular coastal walking from the door, and both horse riding and golf are available within 1 mile as are boat trips to Lundy Island and pleasure boat and fishing excursions along the dramatic coastline.

Magnificent sandy beaches at Woolacombe, 5 miles, and Croyde, and the beautiful, evocative landscape of Exmoor National Park are under 15 minutes’ drive, whilst nearby attractions include Arlington Court (NT), Watermouth Castle, a wildlife and dinosaur park and flower bedecked Barnstaple’s famous pannier markets.
