A 300 year old grade II listed hotel whose previous visitors have included Admiral Lord Nelson and Edward VII. The Royal Britannia Hotel in the North Devon coastal town of Ilfracombe is great for families and couples while our separate function room caters for up to 300 guests, ideal for parties and weddings. Centrally located, the seafront and town centre are just minutes away. The hotel has two bars and a restaurant serving breakfast, which can be ordered the night before for £5, and a daily roast with a choice of meats and trimmings.

The Royal Britannia has a total of 26 en-suite rooms, many of which overlook the harbour. Some of the most notable include the Lord Nelson room with harbour views and hand carved, king size four poster bed, the large Jacuzzi en-suite room and the three room family suite that has two toilets and sleeps up to 8. Cots can be provided on request for families with babies. Other amenities include tea and coffee making facilities, Freeview TV and bed linen and towels.

Parking is currently free at the bus station which is only two minutes walk away. A long stay car park is also available. Certain rooms are pet friendly at a cost of £5 per pet per night. Regular guests who stay four times or more a year can have their pets stay free.
