Located at the bottom of historic Fore Street, once the home of shipwrights and mariners, this completely refurbished cottage (work completed March 2017) is set right in the heart of this popular coastal town.

If you are looking for a sociable long weekend away with friends or perhaps taking a well-deserved week off with your partner or family, the cottage is a real treat, set amongst the pubs, bars and excellent restaurants of Fore Street and with the harbour side easily accessible through a nearby walkway. Here you can enjoy the harbour area which boasts Damien Hirst's famous sculpture 'Verity'. Keen ramblers can readily access the South West Coast Path that meanders along the stunning coastline to Exmoor, in one direction, and towards the award winning Woolacombe beach in the other.

The stable door entrance to Harbour Cottage is down two steps from the street and you are greeted by an attractive hallway which gives guests a sense of history and of the cottage's past. The cottage is believed to date back to the 17th century and has very close links with the maritime and fishing industries. Stairs lead up and onto the first floor and looking out onto the Street below is a beautifully presented double bedroom, furnished and dressed with coastal themes in mind. The room has a wall mounted Smart TV with Netflix and Sky entertainments package. This bedroom also benefits from its own ensuite shower room.

On the top floor you will find the rest of the delights that this great cottage has to offer. All rooms are located off the hallway. There is an attractive twin bedroom next to which is located a modern bathroom with shower over the bath.  The living room is welcoming and has an electric effect wood burner on the granite hearth, there are comfortable leather chairs, a sofa, chairs and a bean bag. There is a Sky TV entertainments package should you want to relax in the evening after a busy day enjoying the town and the surrounding coast and countryside.  The kitchen/diner is spacious and is well equipped and a perfect place for those wanting to indulge their culinary credentials. Mind you with the choice of quality local eateries on offer you might well take a break from cooking for at least part of your stay!

First floor: Bedroom 1 with Double, Smart TV with Netflix and Sky entertainment package, ensuite shower room with corner shower, WC, heated towel rail and basin.

Second floor: Living room with electric effect wood burner, TV with Sky entertainments package, DVD. Kitchen/diner with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, slimline dishwasher, fridge/freezer and table for four.  Bathroom with bath with fitted shower over bath, WC, basin and heated towel rail. Bedroom 2 with Twin.

Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Gas CH. WiFi. No smoking. Regret no pets. No cot is provided, please bring your own. Stairgate fitted on the top landing. A selection of books and DVDs.  Parking - guests can buy  a weekly permit (currently £35)  for the adjacent Ropery car park, right behind the property, (note: this permit is only valid here) by calling 01271 863001 or using RingGo.  Alternatively, other Ilfracombe car parking is available via North Devon Council  01271 388279. Short breaks available Fri-Mon, Mon-Fri only.
