Less than 5 miles from the popular coastal resort of Ilfracombe, this lovely barn conversion set on a working farm, is the ideal destination for larger families or friends seeking a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. With plenty of the farm’s resident animals to meet including alpacas, horses and ducks, there is a real chance for younger guests to get up close to animals and enjoy nature in the farm setting. There’s also a shared games barn for letting off steam and a host of activities for guests of all ages. Ilfracombe (4.5 miles) offers a range of amenities including shops and supermarkets, welcoming pubs and restaurants, and a choice of beaches for sunbathing and sandcastle building. Set sail on a Sea Safari from the harbour in search of the seals and dolphins that make their home along the North Devon coastline, or set sail on the MS Oldenburg to peaceful Lundy Island.

One of five cottages in this quiet countryside complex, your holiday home is accessed via the shared courtyard surrounded by shrubbery and shady trees. Step into the barn and head to the first floor where you will find the sociable open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you need for a home-from-home stay and you can share delicious dinners around the large rustic dining table, chatting late into the night. After a long day walking the South West Coast Path, sink into one of the sumptuous sofas in the lounge area, light the wood burner and unwind with a glass of wine in front of your favourite TV programme. At the end of the day, snuggle up in one of the five comfortable bedrooms and drift off to sleep. Outside, an external staircase leads to your private garden where you can dine alfresco and enjoy the countryside views. There are impressive shared on-site facilities, including a games barn and children’s play area.
