Situated in an elevated position at the end of a private road and overlooking the seaside town of Ilfracombe and the sea that surrounds it, close to the towns working harbour where visitors can watch the local fishermen come and go with the day's catch. Further around the coast, is the towns unique Tunnels Beach, and is exactly what the name suggests, a collection of sandy and shingle cliff backed beaches, accessed via a network of Victorian tunnels, offering a cafe, bar, picnic area, wetsuit area and tidal pool. The town has several well regarded eateries and a range of interesting shops, as well as choice of fun boat trips, and an aquarium. You could also visit Combe Martin, Morethoe and Woolacombe. Heading outside across the gravelled parking area, approached via a number of steps you will find the indoor heated swimming pool (available from 9am till 5pm), with changing room, WC and shower.
