Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in this home away from home near the quaint village of West Down and Blue Flag Beach Woolacombe. Perfectly located between Putsborough, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe enjoy the peace and quiet of farm life with several superb surfing beaches only a 10 minute car journey away.
A peaceful rural retreat, perfect for large families or groups of friends. 4 bedrooms sleep 8 people with a large rear sunny garden and built-in BBQ perfect for the warm summer months. Initial log supply, travel cot and highchair is included and up to four dogs are very welcome too. Easy driving distance to pubs famous for their delicious home cooked food sourced from local producers. The ideal base from which to explore this beautiful part of North Devon.

2 living rooms. One as a snug to the farmhouse kitchen with a woodburner and patio doors to the deck - seating for 6 with flatscreen TV and DVD. The second has the sofa bed and further sofas to seat 6-8. There is an open fire (optional) with further TV/DVD.
kitchen/diner
The country farmhouse kitchen has everything you could possibly need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Appliances include AGA, a fridge, separate freezer, oven, electric fan oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere as well as all the other essential mod-cons, crockery (including children’s), cutlery and kitchen utensils. A high chair is provided. The dining table is in the large kitchen.
The kitchen leads into a snug.
bedrooms
Bedroom 1 with large double bed, has handbasin and mirror, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2 is smaller and has twin zip and link beds (please let us know if you require a double), bedside table, drawers and clothes hanging facilities.
Bedroom 3 with king size bed, connects to.
Bedroom 4 (which is upstairs) with twin beds, both having bedside tables, wardrobes and other clothes storage. Cot is provided. There is a sofa bed in one of the two living rooms that will sleep 2. Additional linen can be arranged for the sofa bed.
A travel cot is provided.

Both bathrooms are on the ground floor
Bathroom 1 is large with basin, wc, bath and separate shower.
Bathroom 2 is a small shower with basin and wc.
outdoors
This lovely home has a large garden with lawned and large decked area with outdoor furniture and parasol. There are both front and rear gardens. A wood-fired BBQ is available. A separate patio area and back lawn with lawn games makes for many sunny days spent outside. Outside storage for wetsuits, boards, bikes etc. is available. There is parking for 4 cars.

perfect home from home holiday bungalow Left on Oct 6, 2017 for a stay in Sep 2017 The location is ideally placed to visit woolacombe, mortehoe, Ilfracombe ,combe martin and Lynton and Lynmouth The family and pet friendly bungalow is a home from home Plenty of space to get together for meals around the kitchen table relax ,in the lounge or sit quietly in the snug. Lovely stay Left on Aug 16, 2017 for a stay in Aug 2017 We had a fantastic stay at Twitchen Farm Cottage. There were 7 of us (with 4 children) plus a young dog, so we were very happy to find the house very spacious, with plenty of room for everyone even on a rainy day. The welcome was lovely with homemade scones and it was very nice to find some essentials like dishwasher tablets and some coffee and tea already there. The Aga in the kitchen was great too, we want one now! ;-) The garden was nice and big and great for both boys and dog to play in. The location of the cottage is good too, with just a short drive to the beaches and several nice towns. I think the only gripe I could possibly come up with is that there weren't any nice sharp cooking knives. But who cares. ;-) Hope to visit again! Excellent genuinely relaxed family house run by lovely people. Wayne and family called to see we were OK and made us feel very comfortable. Scones, milk, flowers, wine all waiting for on our arrival which was a nice touch. The house is exactly how is was in the photos. Ideal for families and access to the surf beaches and villages. Aga and airer for drying clothes after a day on the beach was really useful. Second lounge was handy as a quiet evening room. We stayed for 2 weeks, 21st July - 4th August 2017. Will definitely visit again.
