Rest and recharge at this gorgeous rural retreat, in the heart of North Devon. You’ll be surrounded by a plethora of countryside walks, as well as being within easy reach of some of the area’s most iconic beaches. The seaside resort of Combe Martin is 3 miles away, where you’ll find a beautiful sheltered cove, as well as cute cafes and cosy pubs. Sleeping five guests, the cottage is ideal for families and groups of friends. There’s plenty of shared facilities to keep everyone entertained, including a indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, children’s play area, and games room.

The pretty stone cottage has a reverse-level layout and is decorated in neutral tones. On the ground floor you’ll find the two inviting bedrooms: one double, and a second bedroom with three single beds. A staircase leads to the open plan living area, comprising a lounge/diner. This sociable space has a fabulous vaulted ceiling and exposed oak beams. Come together around the dining table for memorable evenings of great food, before sinking into the plump sofa to watch the TV/DVD. Outside, sip a morning coffee on the shared bench, before enjoying a peaceful walk around the shared grounds to say hello to the donkeys. There’s also a BBQ for al fresco dining.

Combe Martin is a charming, family-friendly village. Kids will love rummaging around in the rock pools on the beach and splashing in and out of the sheltered shoreline. You can hire kayaks and paddleboards in the village, to explore the coast on water, or join the South West Coast Path for exhilarating, windswept walks along the clifftop paths. Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle (2 miles) makes a great day out. You’ll find rides galore amongst the beautiful, landscaped grounds, along with a fascinating Victorian castle that’s full of legend and folklore.
