A great social space to relax and unwind, enjoy cosy evenings in by the wood-burning stove set on a slate hearth, with a wave-shaped mirror above, in keeping with the name of the house! A large bookcase contains a good selection of books, and one of the lower drawers hides a huge selection of DVD’s. Behind the corner suite is a further lounge relaxing/area with a 2-seater wicker sofa, large double size leather bean bag along with another beanbag - an ideal place for chilling out in your holiday home after an exhausting day at the beach. Within this area are a couple of wicker baskets containing a selection of children's games. Patio doors open onto the terrace and garden. “The ultimate luxury family friendly Devon getaway!”The sheer size of this house, including the outside open space, is the first thing that you notice when you pull into Croyde Waves. For a party of 8 (which included 3 young children) this was a welcome relief and so inviting (especially when you come from the cramped spaces of London) The open plan living and size of each room and bedroom was just amazing! The fact that there was a separate games room and tv for the kids and another big lounge with massive tv for adults (and weekend rugby) the best part. Nobody cared that the weather was not exactly great, nobody felt trapped in the house as the house itself was a holiday to our usual cramped spaces. Modern, luxurious, (radio in the bathroom?), on-suite in two bedrooms upstairs, clean linen, a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge, did I mention there is a jacuzzi outside???? The weekend was too short, honestly, I would go to this place even in winter, it is so chillaxing! I want to move that house to London! Highly highly recommend it for families!
