The kitchen is well-equipped and includes a ceramic hob, oven, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment, plus separate freezer in the lobby. Other kitchen equipment includes toaster, kettle, a selection of cookware and kitchen utensils plus beautiful china, glass and cutlery.
The television, DVD, and radio are all discreetly placed.
Wifi is available throughout the property.
An iron, ironing board and hair dryer are all provided for your convenience.
Please note, there is no mobile phone reception due to the location of the property.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Bratton Mill Cottage has central heating which will be programmed for you, yet can be adjusted to suit your preferences. There is also a wood-burning stove in the sitting room; some logs, kindling and matches will be provided in the cooler months to get you started. Further logs can be purchased locally if required.
Beautiful White Company bed linen, duvets, large fluffy towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own outdoor/beach towels.
Tea, coffee and sugar will be provided. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and oil available.
Household sundries such as toilet rolls, washing-up liquid, tea towels will also be provided.

The cottage is in a beautifully tranquil location at the bottom of a valley. In our three-day stay, we did not hear any sounds from humans, dogs or cars. Quite a unique experience when on holiday and something we really treasured. The cottage facilities were extremely good. We cooked every night .... The cottage is in a beautifully tranquil location at the bottom of a valley. In our three-day stay, we did not hear any sounds from humans, dogs or cars. Quite a unique experience when on holiday and something we really treasured. The cottage facilities were extremely good. We cooked every night (simple stovetop meals) and used the washing machine. The oven was a bit complicated to work out so we avoided that. Both the kitchen and the lounge were comfortable and cosy. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the lounge room each evening with the log fire burning. Guests should be aware that the cottage is part of an old farm at the end of a narrow lane followed by another very narrow lane, which is the driveway, both of which descend down the hill quite steeply. The driveway is made of quite rough concrete - no bitumen. If foreign guests are not used to these conditions, they should be prepared. We were quite shocked when we came across the very narrow, unsealed driveway.

Exquisite location and house has a lovely peaceful atmosphere. The gardens are lovely and there is a beautiful stream a short distance away which if you listen carefully you can hear from the cottage.
