Lovely area , very hilly . Only complaint would be . Oven very Dirty. Broken Door handle on bedroom door, kitchen blind broken, bed very wobbly and creaky, bedding smelt very doggy. Other than that a lovely break .

This is a tough one as overall, we liked the lodge and it was very well done inside with the fittings and furniture. The kitchen was nicely set out and with good plates, dishes and glasses. Loved the imitation fire place heater - that was very effective at warming the place up. Shower was nice, if a little cramped. The lounge area had nice seating, good tables and the TV was working well. However, it was heavily let down by a number of factors which affect the scores. 1) The cleanliness wasn't super great - There were cobwebs in several windows. It was dirty under the bed. The bathroom extractor fan and light fitting was really dirty. The window sills weren't very clean either. As the lodges seem to be in a lot of use, I would have expected them to be a lot cleaner. 2) Some of the fittings & furniture were disappointing. The doorknob on the inside of the bedroom door was practically falling off. the mattress was terrible, one side felt like the springs had completely gone so was dipping right down. 3) The kitchen was missing a spatula and the frying pan hadn't been well looked after. The knives, forks and spoons did not match at all which is a bit odd. 4) Not the lodge itself but the laundry room needs to be better monitored. The washing machine tray for powder & conditioner was caked in previous washing powder. The tumble dryer filter at the front was full from previous washes. We stayed in this lodge during a lower season too. If we were to have stayed in high season where the cost is pretty much double, we would have been really angry at the state of these things. If Hoseasons / the site owner were to address these issues and keep on top of them, we would have happily given 9 / 10 scores across the board.

A big disappointment. The lodge is at the bottom of the slope and is quite cool. The garden furniture is well worn compared to other lodges on site. The sofa and the bedding is well past its best. The pillows are lumpy and the bedding had mould spots on it. You are asked to clean the lodge before leaving but we had only an old well used washing up sponge, which went straight into the bin as it looked unhealthy. We purchased new sponges and wipes which we left as we felt sorry for people following us. This is a very basic lodge.
