Snaptrip says

The Linhay in Devon is a well-received cottage, praised for its beautiful location, spaciousness, and pet-friendly environment. Guests enjoyed the hot tub with stunning views, the welcoming atmosphere, and the ample outdoor space. While some noted the decor is dated and the property could benefit from updates, the charm and comfort of the cottage, along with its peaceful setting, made for memorable stays. The presence of thoughtful touches, such as treats and a ready-to-light log burner, added to the positive experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found The Linhay clean and well-prepared for their arrival, with quality towels and bedding. However, a few mentioned areas needing a deeper clean, such as carpets and furniture, and some concerns about dust and cobwebs. The overall impression is of a generally clean property with room for improvement in certain aspects.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity, picturesque countryside, and proximity to local attractions and beaches. The peaceful setting and stunning views are consistently mentioned as highlights, contributing to a serene and enjoyable holiday experience.

Guests found The Linhay cosy and suitable for large groups, with modern bathrooms and a warm welcome. However, some guests reported uncomfortable beds and issues with noise and water pressure. The property's layout accommodated different age groups, and the presence of a log burner added to the comfort.

The facilities, including the hot tub, games room, and sports courts, were appreciated, though some noted they appeared tired and in need of refurbishment. The kitchen was well-equipped but was considered small for larger groups. The addition of outdoor lighting was suggested for evening enjoyment.

While guests mentioned thoughtful gestures such as treats and a bottle of wine upon arrival, there is not enough consistent information across the reviews to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.
