Coarse fishing on-site, 2 lakes free of charge. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply from a borehole and there are 3 fishing lakes in the garden and grounds, 150 yards away.. In the grounds of the owners’ very well-presented and maintained fishing venue, these three holiday properties (refs 29794, 30788 and 31308) are well-equipped to ensure a restful holiday. Kingfisher is a detached, single-storey cottage, sleeping six guests, The Lodge is set over two floors and sleeps four guests, and Mole is semi-detached and also sleeps four guests. The cottages have their own enclosed, lawned garden with sitting-out area and views across the beautiful grounds. There are two well-stocked coarse fishing lakes at Riverton which are included in the price of your stay, as well as a third beautiful lake (members only).
If you are not fishing, there is still plenty to do in this lovely part of Devon. Located just outside the regional town of Barnstaple, the cottages are in an ideal location to explore this stunning part of the British Isles. A few miles away, you have access to some of the best beaches in the country including Woolacombe and Saunton. The nearest beach at Instow is ideal for children or just a great place to walk off life’s stresses, and then enjoy a meal or drink at one of the pubs and restaurants along the front. The town of Barnstaple is only a short drive away and has most amenities you may require as well as a busy high street and market. There are numerous places of interest close by including the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal and the historic fishing village of Clovelly. For the younger ones, a visit to the Big Sheep or Milkyway is a good option. There is walking on Dartmoor or hire a bike and cycle the Tarka Trail. Clay pigeon shooting can be organised by prior arrangement with the owner. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Very enjoyable holiday at Riverton Cottages where we stayed in "Mole". The accommodation was very clean on arrival with a very pleasant host that lived on site should she be needed. Upstairs there was one bedroom with 2 single beds and a rail/shelving for clothing to be stored. A toilet and sink also. The window over looks large lawned area and beautiful mature trees towards the back of the property. There is a small seating area outside with table chairs, washing line/pegs and barbecue/firelighters are provided. The downstairs has a toilet and shower from hallway which can be accessed from the double bedroom. The double bedroom has two good sized wardrobes. Mole has a lounge with french doors on to the small patio and a nice square kitchen with double access to the lounge and L shaped counter tops. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of utensils and cutlery, crockery and glasses. There is a stream next to the property with a small bridge to access three lakes. Walking there is picturesque and enjoyable and on the flat. The electricity is chargeable by top up card and can be purchased from the owner when needed. It is operated by metre and it is easy to see how much you have remaining. It should be noted that the owner only accepts CASH to purchase as no card machine available. You have your own parking space for two cars. Would certainly use again. Very pleasant and tidy property and location. Very nice helpful owner. Most enjoyable.

The cottage was homely and comfortable and in beautiful surroundings. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There were lots of lovely walks from the cottage and lots of things to do a short drive away. The beautiful coastline was a 30 min drive away with some gorgeous beaches and cliff walks.
