The North Devon coast is also within easy reach, surfers and sunbathers alike can enjoy the sandy beaches of Croyde, Saunton Sands and Westward Ho! The wilds of Exmoor are a favourite with hikers, with many walks for them to choose from. For a family day out, guests can visit The Milky Way, The Big Sheep, Arlington Court, RHS Rosemoor and the nearby Tapeley Park, or cycle/walk the 180 mile Tarka Trail, a former railway route. As you enter the split level property you will take two steps up before you are welcomed onto the ground floor by a large entrance hall with plenty of room to leave coats and shoes. Walk on and the hall opens up , with two steps down into a comfortable and cosy lounge area with exposed stonework, wooden floor, oak beams and a welcoming wood burner ideal for cosy nights in. Relax after a day exploring and watch your favourite movie on the Smart TV or DVD player with theatre Surround Sound, also available is an Apple TV. Heading back through the hallway two steps lead down to the spacious kitchen/diner where you will find everything you need to cook up a feast. The large farmhouse table allows everyone room to sit together and the kitchen has a large Range electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and American style fridge/freezer. Just of the kitchen is a sweet outside courtyard area with gated access to the street. Heading back inside through the kitchen a utility room houses a washing machine and a separate WC. Back to the hallway the carpeted staircase rises to the first floor where a large landing area adds light and a chaise provides a quiet spot to sit and read. The three bedrooms include a double bedroom, a king size with exposed stonework and wrought iron bed frame and finally, the master king size bedroom has built in wardrobes and a Smart TV. Completing the property are two newly refurbished bathrooms. One with a large powerful shower over an estuary shaped bath and WC. Across the spacious landing is a bespoke shower room with reclaimed pitch pine walling, a third WC and a handcrafted copper washbasin sited on a bespoke, slate topped washstand. Stepping outside, the fully enclosed garden has a stone patio, raised beds and lawn. Comfortable garden furniture and a hardwood table make a great place for outdoor meals. This area is south facing, a sunshade produces a secluded and pleasant area to sit any time of day. After dark, the garden comes alive with lighting designed to extend your time well into the evening. Guests are welcome to use wetsuits, bodyboards, prawning nets and wellies provided at the property. Covered bike storage available. Off road parking for 4 cars. Beach 4 miles, pub and shop within walking distance. Smart TV with DVD player and Apple TV in the lounge and Smart TV in the master bedroom. Please note, unmonitored cctv is present on the premises. Highchair and Travel cot available.
