Lovely farmhouse in a great spot to access north Devon. Roads are narrow but fine to access .

8 of us stayed here for 2 nights, beautiful house, steeped in history, very spacious. Very easy, welcoming check in. Here are some bits that weren't quite what we expected. There were no cleaning products, tea towels or dust pan and brush. There were alot of cob webs and a few beer bottles spotted around the house from the previous booking. All beds could really do with a new mattres, we could feel every spring. The heating was a big isue, boiler was on a timer but off during the day... it started snowing outside, we had to wear coats indoors because it was so cold, no blankets provided. Host was incredibly difficult to contact, had to plead with other owners on site to put heating on as one of us have health isues, although there was 'no profit' in doing so for short stays (boiler locked away). Lack of instruction regarding extractor for fire place (lots of smoke), no welcome pack with instructions etc. The house was stunning but needs TLC, would recommend long stays in summer
