Behind, a large enclosed garden with pretty views to the church, big lawns, trees, summer house and terraces/seating for alfresco dining and all-day sun. The millstream trickles gently by - outside garden boundary at the back, unfenced alongside drive (care needed). Also beside drive, densely-planted pond area (lockable gates from drive and back garden). Use (with care) of orchard where owners’ friendly kunekune pigs occasionally reside.
Inside, homely with cheery decor. Steps up to porch; tiled hall; large living room (woodburner, TV/DVD) looking over pond, with sofas and double sofa bed (for alternative sleeping). Bright kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, iPod dock, double oven/ceramic hob) with gas-fired Aga (lit November to April or by arrangement for cosiness) and glazed door to terrace (table/chairs, barbecue); drying room (washing machine, tumble drier, sink) with loo (½-height saloon door) and stable doors to garden. Upstairs, on split levels, the master double (5’ bed) with en suite shower-room (suite, bidet) and curtained dressing/cot area with single bed, and a room with three singles (truckle). Bathroom (suite plus hand-shower). A practical and spacious base.
