The owner, Hen, was very welcoming and hardly batted an eyelid when she saw our 2 small but well behaved 97kg Leonburger and 65kg St Bernard. The location is a working farm but we were allowed access to all areas which was great for dog walking. Sadly, the Black Dog village pub has shut down but there were several good pubs within 10-15 mins drive. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Salters.

Very well equipped and Wifi perfect (although spent most of my time reading). It is remote but if you come prepared with all you need it is paradise.

It was perfect for our needs. Nice to meet Hen too. Glad we brought our own milk and bread etc as we arrived around 8pm after a long drive and closest shop isn't on the doorstep.
