Park off-road and make your way into this wonderful cottage, noting the pretty backdrop of trees and the close proximity to the beach. An open-plan living area offers everything you will need for your stay, beginning with a sitting area with widen flooring and French windows opening up onto the garden, a perfect spot for a morning coffee, and when mealtimes call, create a romantic meal for two in the kitchen, enjoying your masterpiece at the breakfast bar. Continuing the accents of lime and calming yellow, a double bedroom encourages you to cosy down for the night, with sea-themed décor reminding you that the coast is only a stones throw away, and why not take a refreshing shower before heading out to explore the scenery? The garden is simply stunning, with beautiful shrubs teaming with wildlife, and you can make the most of this space with al fresco dining in the sunshine. When visiting Axmouth, a trip to the seaside is a must, so why not take a stroll along the stunning coastline of Seaton Beach with your four-legged friend or try out watersports or fossil hunting? The local town boasts many delicious eateries and there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy home-made cake or a glass of your favourite beverage with a view to the coast. Seaton Wetlands offers a fantastic walk where you will be able to explore the local wildlife or head a little further afield to Axe Valley Wildlife Park. Fall in love with the Jurassic coast with the perfect couples’ holiday at Little Woodlands.

Seaton is a seaside town in East Devon on the south coast. It faces onto Lyme Bay, to the west of the mouth of the River Axe with red cliffs to one side and white cliffs on the other. Axmouth and Beer are nearby. A sea wall provides access to the mostly shingle beach stretching for about a mile, and a small harbour. Seaton is on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the town offers a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs.

We had not noticed (in the info) there was no Wi-Fi, also the tv signal was a bit hit and miss but we enjoyed some of the dvds. I, like others have mentioned, do think some proper lighting is needed on the steps outside, in the evening it is a little risky. On the whole we enjoyed our stay. Thanks :)

Very clean and well equipped. Ideal for a couple. I would have given it more stars if it had a washing machine and wifi. There is ample parking above the steps to the property but due to how narrow the lane is very difficult to park a larger car, though I did reverse into the space, as recommended in a response to a previous review, I literally had to drive into the bank opposite in order to swing into the space, which wasn’t good. The property is close to the town, but walking up and down the very steep hill is not for the faint hearted or less agile and we didn’t attempt it. We did encounter a couple of cars when leaving the property by car, but managed to pull in to a passing place. There are two gates at the entrance and exit to the property and our dogs did remain in the space outside the property making it safe for us to leave the French doors open. The entrance to the property was very overgrown, which made it more private, but when it rained we got soaked from the wet foliage when leaving or returning to the property. The owner of the property is a lovely lady, very friendly and helpful. Though there isn’t a view from the property, if you walk to the rear of the main house there is a lovely view of the harbour and Beer in the distance. We were told we could go anywhere in the garden which was magical. Many paths wound round in the multi-level garden which was full of a wide variety of plants.
